Get what you pay for. I was joining a tour that started in Gruz Harbour so this was convienient for me. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. I recommend booking the sea view rooms. Staff always friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic being right opposite the port, near the bus station and supermarket; view from the room overlooking the harbour is great, staff is helpful. Definitely value for money
The coffee at breakfast is undrinkable - you have been warned!
The best thing about Hotel Petka was the view from the room. I was looking out on to the harbour and had a great view of all the boats and the suburbs of Dubrovnik. The location is also very good and its only a 10 min bus journey from the old town, although it would be possible to walk it too. Its a good hotel for a reasonable price in Dubrovnik.
The staff on the reception were ok, not the friendliest. My room was clean, however the carpet could have done with being hoovered a bit more and the bathroom needs to be modernised.
The staff was wonderful and the location was suitable for the city.
They used the cheapest toilet paper possible. Though I have never been in jail I would have expect the tissue to be better suited for a prisoner considering the daily cost of the room.
The location was excellent,30mins walk to old town,30mins in another two directions to two beautiful beaches,Lapad beach and copa cabana.View from balcony was amazing, lovely to sit there at night relaxing with a glass of wine.
The big disappointment for us was the breakfast.Very limited selection of hot food also bread, little or no fresh fruit.I Don't think it would put me off staying there as we loved the location but breakfast really needs to be improved. We had two meals in tavern at evening time which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Situated in the main port of Gruz. Easy access in and out of city by car, bus and ferry(opposite hotel)
Breakfast buffet was a little sparse for the grade of hotel. The cooked food was swimming in oil.
Hotel was close to main bus station and bus route into Old Town. It was also next door to the rc Church of which we are members
Excellent amenities and location for ferry. Would highly recommend.
Location, spatius room
Staff at the rception desk not polite, poor breakfast
The weather was beautiful and Dubrovnik is a great place. The Hotel was a stopping off point during a hectic day there and we had a great meal in the evening at the hotel.
When we arrived at 13.45 the guy on the reception was polite but quite unhelpful regarding a problem we had over some lost sunglasses and a phone number at a car hire firm at Dubrovnik airport not working. He was smug and said perhaps they are just not answering the phone! Later when going out (14.45) there was a different guy on the desk who helped us get the correct number and we were sorted in a matter of minutes. First guy would have scored poor above - second guy excellent.
Clean comfortable convenient for city and airport links efficient/helpful good value
Stairs at front are not suitcase friendly. Lift from ground level through taverna not publicised.
The hotel is well located for visiting Dubrovnik and Mljet island. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely views of the bay. Breakfast was quite good.
The coffee at breakfast was a bit too strong.
Great location. Beautiful harbor view. Short bus ride to Old City. Wonderful breakfast included.
They were supposed to have free wi fi but it was impossible to get a good connection. Shouldn't say they have it when they don'T. Also they put through the entire charge for my stay when I booked 2 months before my stay without letting me know they would do that.
The room is very comfortable with big bathroom. The staff (mainly the night receptionist) is helpful. They serve a good breakfast.
The fridge isn't working in any of the three bedrooms that our family stayed.
Location is very close to the Mljet ferry pier, and to the bus station. Breakfast is decent with both hot and cold food.
Staff was rude in checking in. They requested that we leave our passports with them to be returned after they had "properly" processed the details. We saw that others' passports were just left on the table at the check in counter and did not feel safe leaving our passports with them, so we waited while they logged the details into the system. It took them less than 5 mins. If they ever tell you this, it's because they are lazy but nothing else. Remember to be persistent.
